Bopath Falls
This beautiful waterfall is located on the border of Kuruwita town in the Ratnapura District of the Sabaragamuwa Province. This waterfall is famous not only in Ratnapura but in the whole of Sri Lanka. The name changes as the Seethagagula begins at the Siripada site and gradually recedes. It is then known as Kuru Ganga.
This waterfall is known as Bopath Falls. This waterfall is small at the top and large at the bottom. This waterfall is known as Bopath Falls as it is similar in shape to a Bo leaf.
This Kuru Ganga passes through Adavikanda, Erathna, Eknaligoda etc. and reaches Devipahala village. This dwarf river flows through the forest in the village of Devipahala and falls down a steep slope.
This mesmerizing waterfall attracts tourists from all over the country throughout the year. As a result, a number of tourist hotels and shops have sprung up in the area.
There is good water every day of the year and the water capacity increases during the rainy season. Going to see this waterfall at that time is risky.
But this waterfall, which has won the hearts of tourists, flows quietly and peacefully.There are young people who have lost their lives visiting this waterfall when the water level is high.
